Right-click Image Conversion, an easy way to edit your images. Right-click Image Conversion has become one of those features that make ReaConverter a great helping hand in the occasional and everyday need to perform various image editing.
The Right-click converter feature is hiding in ReaConverter Standard and Pro under the name of Context Menu Integration.
Many people call it "right-click menu", less people know the phrase context menu, but practically all people use it. If you are not sure if you do, press your right mouse button to check it for yourself.
Windows right-click menu is meant for getting some repetitive tasks done faster, and represents a list of frequently used commands that vary depending on an object (file, folder, icon, etc) clicked with a right mouse button. Basically, the list of commands depends on what is being clicked. Hence the word 'context'.
Created to facilitate batch image conversion, ReaConverter integrates into Windows right-click menu, and gives an option to right click convert and edit any number of images with only two mouse clicks. Right-clicks!
How to convert images using right click menu and make the most of this feature? If you right click an image or a group of images, you will get two options offering a number of default convert operations:
Using your own settings:
You can edit the existing or add your own options in Context menu settings.
Note that depending on whether you have a Standard or Pro Edition, you can add only those write formats and actions that are supported by your edition.
'Convert to' vs 'Convert with actions': If you just need to right click convert your images to some particular format, say PDF, press the '+' sign in the 'Conver to' part and select the format you need from the list that appears (in our case, PDF). You can also specify the format settings and additional settings just as you do at the last step of ReaConverter. If your task is to right click convert and edit your image(s), it is the 'Convert with changes' option that should be applied. Here you can also edit the default and add new options. As well as ReaConverter Scheduler, 'Convert with changes' works with ReaConverter configuration (.cfg) and action (.act) files. It should be remembered that configuration files transmit information on the output format and its settings, destination folder, additional settings, file options, file name modifications and conversion options (transparency color, loading settings, etc.). Action files take care of the actions you need to apply.
To add a new option, press the '+' sign and specify all the necessary settings in the window that appears: give your new option a name and browse for the prepared configuration and action files.
Once set, you will be able to use this option in the right click menu as long as you wish. We do hope you will find the Right click conversion feature useful. With all questions, or comments, please refer to our technical support.
