How to Convert Multiple SCN Images to JP2?
1. Download and Install reaConverter
Download reaConverter and install it in seconds. The setup is straightforward — no complex configuration, no extra software required. reaConverter also includes editing tools: resize, crop, rotate, and more.
2. Load your SCN files
Launch reaConverter and load the SCN files you want to convert. Add a few files or thousands, batch processing handles them all.
Drag-and-drop SCNs directly into reaConverter or use the folder browser to load entire directories.

3. Select JP2 as output format
Set JP2 as output format and select where to save your converted files. Customize quality settings if needed.

4. Start SCN to JP2 conversion
Press Convert to begin processing. You can watch the progress or minimize and let it run in the background.

Your converted JP2 files will appear in the destination folder as soon as processing completes.
SCN to JP2: what carries over and what does not
SCN and JP2 both compress by discarding data, so this is a re-encode rather than a copy. The output is built from already-compressed pixels, and the artefacts of the first encode are carried into the second. Use a high quality setting, and convert from the original whenever you still have it. One SCN file can hold several pages or frames, while JP2 holds one image each. reaConverter writes a separate output file per page and numbers them, so a single input can produce a whole folder of results.
