SCUT3 is a design project created by the third version of Sure Cuts A Lot from Craft Edge, and by Easy Cut Studio 3, which shares the same extension scheme. The file stores the artwork for an electronic cutting machine as vector paths, together with text objects, groups, transformation matrices, layer colors and per object cut settings, plus the size of the virtual cutting mat and the chosen machine model. By this generation the software supported a broad range of vinyl cutters and craft plotters rather than a single machine family. Easy Cut Studio 3 can open SCUT, SCUT2 and SCUT3 projects, but not files written by later versions. Since no common vector editor reads the format, converting SCUT3 to SVG or DXF is the practical way to open these designs outside the original program.
