Before you convert 3MF to STEP

3MF stores a surface made of triangles, while STEP is built for exact solid geometry. The conversion has to derive surfaces from that triangle mesh, so the result is faithful to the shape but is not the same thing as a parametric model with clean features and editable dimensions.
