Converting CIT to ICO

A CIT file represents a black-and-white raster image created using an Intergraph Security, Government and Infrastructure (SG&I) piece of software. Until a few years ago, Intergraph was considered one of largest software developers in the world, and is part of Hexagon AB since 2010. The company provides IT services all over the world to governments and businesses, and apart from the SG&I division it also includes one called Process, Power & Marine (PP&M) and another called Hexagon Geospatial.

ICO files contain the images used as icons for files, folders or programs on the Microsoft Windows platform. The icons appear on the desktop, in Windows Explorer or in the Start Menu and help identify each item. ICO images are generally of a small size, are scalable, and they can also serve as website logos or symbols that appear in the web browser next to the URL. The equivalent of ICO files on Mac computers is called ICNS.

Start reaConverter and load all the .cit files you intend to convert into .ico because, as opposed to most free online converters, reaConverter supports batch conversion. So you can save the time and energy you would lose with doing repetitive operations.

Select CITs from a folder or by drag-and-dropping them directly into the reaConverter window.

Choose Output Folder

Go to the Saving options tab and decide where you want to save new .ico files. You can also spend a few more moments to apply additional editing to the images prepared for conversion.

Select ICO as Output Format

Then pick the ICO as output format. To help you do this, a series of buttons is conveniently placed at the bottom of the reaConverter window, so you can simply press on the one you need or click Plus button to add new options.
