CZI to PSD: what to expect from the conversion

CZI is an N-dimensional acquisition rather than a picture. One file can hold several fluorescence channels, a stack of focal planes, a time series and a mosaic of stitched tiles, each recorded separately by the camera. PSD is a flat image format, so those dimensions have to be resolved into ordinary pictures, and which result is the right one depends on the work: a merged colour composite suits a figure or a presentation, while separate greyscale planes are what quantification needs.
