How to Convert Multiple FIT Images to TIF?
1. Download and Install reaConverter

2. Load your FIT files
Open reaConverter and add your FIT files. You can load individual files, entire folders, or even nested subfolders.
Drop your FIT files into the window or use File menu to browse and select folders.
3. Select TIF as output format
Choose TIF as the target format. Pick a destination folder or let reaConverter save files alongside the originals.
4. Start FIT to TIF conversion

After conversion, find your TIF files in the output folder. Click 'Show converted files' to open it directly.
What changes when you convert FIT to TIF
FIT stores 32-bit greyscale covering the full dynamic range of the scan, and TIF shows 8 bits. The conversion applies a window level, so what ends up visible depends on the window you choose. Decide separately whether patient metadata should be copied to the output or stripped from it. FIT carries 32 bits per channel and TIF carries 16, so tonal steps get coarser during conversion. It shows up first in smooth gradients such as skies. If the result will be edited further, move to a 16-bit format only at the very end.
