HPGL to EMF: what to expect from the conversion
HPGL stores a technical drawing with layers and line weights, and EMF stores artwork meant for display. Geometry comes across, but drawing conventions such as dimension styles and hatching are flattened into ordinary strokes and fills, which is fine for publishing and awkward if the file needs to go back into CAD.
