Converting RWZ to DIS

A RWZ file represents a RAW image handled with Rawzor — an image compression program. Rawzor is specialized in compressing various types of RAW photos taken with most kinds of camera brands, without any loss in image quality. Compression can save up to 60% in file size and is a reversible process, so the user can always convert back to the initial format. RWZ files, however, are not compatible with all image viewers, so future conversion to more accessible formats might be necessary.

The DIS extension is associated with the DKB Ray-Tracer, a piece of software originally created by David Kirk Buck and Aaron A. Collins, which served as a predecessor for the POV Ray-Tracer. The latter software has the capacity to generate images from text-based scene descriptions and works on various platforms. Though fairly popular on PC/MS-DOS platforms at its release, the DIS format is now obsolete. It can, however, be viewed and converted to more accessible formats.

Load RWZ Files

Start reaConverter and load all the .rwz files you intend to convert into .dis because, as opposed to most free online converters, reaConverter supports batch conversion. So you can save the time and energy you would lose with doing repetitive operations.

Select RWZs from a folder or by drag-and-dropping them directly into the reaConverter window.

Choose Output Folder

Go to the Saving options tab and decide where you want to save new .dis files. You can also spend a few more moments to apply additional editing to the images prepared for conversion.

Select DIS as Output Format

Then pick the DIS as output format. To help you do this, a series of buttons is conveniently placed at the bottom of the reaConverter window, so you can simply press on the one you need or click Plus button to add new options.
