ZGL is the compressed variant of XGL, an archaic vector format storing 3D images and compatible with several types of computer-aided design programs. Both formats were created in the 1990s by developer RealityWave, later on acquired by AVEVA, for use on 3D graphics applications such as Solid Edge and AVEVA PDMS. ZGL files contain compressed 3D data and use the XML OpenGL application programming interface (API) format.
The quick and simple way to handle your files is to get a quality piece of software, such as reaConverter. This software is extremely efficient in managing a wide range of batch conversions. As you will soon realize, reaConverter will help you avoid spending countless hours trying to figure out how to convert multiple ZGL files as once.
