A file of this type keeps the 3D mapping of a rough stone, including the surface with its grooves and concave areas, and the inclusions that were found inside, together with the planning of the polished diamonds that can be cut from it. Advisor tests a vast number of ways to place a stone in the rough and offers several solutions, which are compared according to the carat weight, the clarity predicted from the inclusions that fall inside the polished stone, the cut proportions, and the symmetry. The plan can include the sawing method, from traditional sawing to pie cuts and complicated 3D sawing, and the program can show a photo-realistic simulation of the polished diamond with its inclusions and print a label with the accurate manufacturing instructions to be marked on the rough. The scan data usually come from Sarine scanning systems, and the file is meant to be used only with Sarine software, which is why other programs cannot open it.
