Before you convert AI to PLT
AI is a design format with no notion of real-world units, while PLT is a drawing format where one unit means one millimetre or one inch. Scale is the thing to watch: the geometry transfers, but the drawing arrives at whatever size the conversion assigns, so check dimensions against a known measurement before machining or plotting from it.
