How to Convert Multiple ARW Images to U3D?
1. Download and Install reaConverter
reaConverter is a standalone Windows app — download, install, and start converting ARW files in under two minutes. Built-in editing tools let you resize, crop, or watermark as you convert.
2. Load your ARW files
Open reaConverter and import your .arw files. No file limits, no slowdowns. Add as many as you need.
You can drag-and-drop files, browse to a folder, or add entire directory trees including subfolders.

3. Select U3D as output format
Pick U3D as the output format. Set the destination folder and optionally configure resolution, quality, or file naming.

4. Start ARW to U3D conversion
Click the Convert button to start. reaConverter will process all your files with the settings you selected.

When finished, your new .u3d files will be waiting in the destination folder.
How ARW and U3D differ in practice
ARW files hold unprocessed sensor data, so white balance and exposure are still adjustable. Converting to U3D bakes those decisions into the pixels, and highlight recovery is no longer available afterwards. Set white balance and exposure before the run rather than after. ARW is made of pixels and U3D is a geometry format, so the two describe images in fundamentally different ways. Check the result before sending it downstream: what matters is whether the output contains editable geometry or a picture placed inside a U3D container, and that determines whether a CAD or design tool can work with it.
