GAL is a graphics file of HP Graphics Gallery, also known as HP Charting Gallery, business graphics software released by Hewlett-Packard for DOS PCs in 1989. A file of this type contains a two- or three-dimensional graphic created by the user, such as a pie, bar, or line chart, or a drawing built from lines, shapes, and text.
