How to Convert Multiple GEOTIFF Files to JP2?
1. Download and Install reaConverter
reaConverter installs quickly on any Windows PC. No dependencies, no bloatware — just a clean setup that's ready to use immediately.
2. Load your GEOTIFF files
Launch reaConverter and load the GEOTIFF files you want to convert. Add a few files or thousands, batch processing handles them all.
Drag-and-drop GEOTIFFs directly into reaConverter or use the folder browser to load entire directories.

3. Select JP2 as output format
Set JP2 as output format and select where to save your converted files. Customize quality settings if needed.

4. Start GEOTIFF to JP2 conversion
Press Convert to begin processing. You can watch the progress or minimize and let it run in the background.

Your converted JP2 files will appear in the destination folder as soon as processing completes.
What changes when you convert GEOTIFF to JP2
GEOTIFF describes geometry rather than pixels, so it has no inherent resolution. The conversion renders it at whatever size you choose, and that choice is final: enlarging the JP2 afterwards will not recover the sharpness. Set the output dimensions or DPI before converting, not after. One GEOTIFF file can hold several pages or frames, while JP2 holds one image each. reaConverter writes a separate output file per page and numbers them, so a single input can produce a whole folder of results.
