GFF (GSAT File Format) is a raster image format developed by Sandia National Laboratories in the United States to store images and image products from its synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems. The name comes from the Ground-based SAR Applications Testbed (GSAT), the program in which the format was created. A file of this type consists of a header of variable length, which records the configuration and performance parameters of the instrument and the image, followed by a matrix of pixel data. The format was designed to allow custom annotation of radar images, and it has gone through several revisions as Sandia's radar programs developed.
