GVB is a datum grid shift file that follows the NTv2 (National Transformation version 2) model, created by the Geodetic Survey of Natural Resources Canada. It covers an area with a net of points and stores, for each of them, how far latitude and longitude have to be moved, usually with an estimate of the accuracy of the shift.
