Converting PNM to MIF

PNM (Portable Anymap) is a generic format for the Netpbm pack, consisting of intermediary files used in the conversion process by a collection of open source programs called Portable Bitmap Utilities. PNM is used as a generic name for the 3 file formats which are part of this pack: PBM (Portable Bitmap), PPM (Portable Pixelmap) and PGM (Portable Graymap).

The MIF extension can be associated with vector images under the MapInfo Interchange Format, in which case it consists of a map and a database exporting file. Also MIF or MIFF file format represents a raster image associated with ImageMagick. This open source program is specialized in editing images, and it is mostly popular among developers as it doesn't have an advanced graphical user interface, so it can mainly be used under command-line. reaConverter supports both types of MIF formats and can convert to vector MIF if the source file is also a vector, and to raster if the source file is a raster image.
