How to Convert Multiple RW2 Images to DCM?
1. Download and Install reaConverter
reaConverter is a standalone Windows app — download, install, and start converting RW2 files in under two minutes. You can also resize, crop, and adjust images during conversion.
2. Load your RW2 files
Start reaConverter and add your .rw2 files. The software processes everything locally, so your files never leave your computer.
Select RW2s from a folder or drag-and-drop them directly into the reaConverter window.

3. Select DCM as output format
Choose DCM as the target format. Pick a destination folder or let reaConverter save files alongside the originals.

4. Start RW2 to DCM conversion
Press the Convert button and reaConverter takes care of the rest. Processing time depends on file size and volume.

After processing, find all your new .dcm files in the output location. The log shows details for each conversion.
How RW2 and DCM differ in practice
RW2 files hold unprocessed sensor data, so white balance and exposure are still adjustable. Converting to DCM bakes those decisions into the pixels, and highlight recovery is no longer available afterwards. Set white balance and exposure before the run rather than after.
