Vector geometry is stored as move, line and cubic Bezier path segments, and text objects reference installed TrueType and OpenType fonts, so a project stays fully editable inside the application. Sure Cuts A Lot 5 can import SVG, PDF, EPS, AI, WPC and earlier SCUT projects, and export SVG, BMP, JPG, GIF, PNG, TIFF and FCM for Brother ScanNCut machines, while version 6 moved on to the SCUT6 extension. External conversion matters most when the original software is unavailable, when a purchased template library has to be moved to a Cricut, Silhouette or laser workflow, or when the outlines need to be measured and edited in a CAD or vector editing package.
