The CRG format is associated with Calamus SL, an incipient desktop publishing software program released in the 1980s for the Atari ST, a then popular brand of home computers. Compared to previous programs with similar functions, the Calamus SL included innovative features for handling vector files, such as virtual objects, non-destructive vector masks and PDF import. Calamus was also the first DTP program to feature proprietary image formats, such as CPI and CRG. The program continues to be supported by the current owner, the German developer Invers Software.
BPG is a new and promising image format, which currently provides the most advanced technology in image compression. Released in 2014 by software developer Fabrice Bellard, the BPG format has been shown to include the best quality/size ratio, when compared to other popular formats such as JPG or PNG. The number of image viewers that can open BPG files is currently limited, but is expected to grow in the near future. For easier access, conversion can be done to and from the BPG format.
The quick and simple way to handle your files is to get a quality piece of software, such as reaConverter. Although it is fast, this software is extremely efficient in managing a wide range of conversions. As you will soon realize, reaConverter will help you avoid spending countless hours trying to figure out how to convert CRGs. But at the same time, it will allow you to apply a wide range of editing options.
reaConverter is quick to download, install and launch, and you don't need to be an IT specialist in order to understand in a few minutes how it operates.
Start reaConverter and load all the .crg files you intend to convert into .bpg because, as opposed to most free online converters, reaConverter supports batch conversion. So you can save the time and energy you would lose with doing repetitive operations.
Select CRGs from a folder or by drag-and-dropping them directly into the reaConverter window.
Go to the Saving options tab and decide where you want to save new .bpg files. You can also spend a few more moments to apply additional editing to the images prepared for conversion.
Then pick the BPG as output format. To help you do this, a series of buttons is conveniently placed at the bottom of the reaConverter window, so you can simply press on the one you need or click Plus button to add new options.
Then simply press the Start button and your conversion will begin in no time!Try Free Trial Version
