TOC is the table of contents file of the Raster Product Format (RPF), a military standard for digital maps and images defined in MIL-STD-2411 and developed in the United States in the 1990s. A collection of digitized charts or satellite images in this format is split into many square frame files, and the file named A.TOC acts as the index that tells where each frame lies on the Earth, which file holds it, and to which product it belongs. The best known products in the format are CADRG, a compressed form of scanned paper charts such as aeronautical and navigation maps, and CIB, a base of satellite images.
